WESTGATE TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL
“WESTGATE ALIVE” EXPO
GLENDALE, AZ —
This weekend, the Westgate City Center in Glendale, Arizona, will host the first annual “Westgate Alive” Expo, featuring health, wellness, and recreational exhibitors. The expo will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 11 am to 4 pm on the Westgate WaterDance Plaza, located adjacent to the Jobing.com Arena.
With exhibitors such as health practitioners, public safety organizations, golf courses, and community based health and wellness oriented charities, those attending will have the chance to learn about current health issues, take place in health screenings and seminars, and discover new and unique recreational activities available in the West Valley.
Exhibitors include the Glendale Fire Department, Southwest Ambulance, Glendale Community College, and the West Valley Child Crisis Center.
“We’re excited to provide a valuable community service to the thousands of attendees expected this weekend at the Arena for the AIA High School State Basketball Championship,” said Dave Groff, President of Westgate Live, the programming arm of the Westgate City Center development. “Westgate is more than just a retail center, but a community gathering place and focal point, and events like our ‘Westgate Alive’ Expo showcase our ability to bring informative programming to our patrons.”
“With Westgate’s inviting environment directly outside the front door of the Jobing.com Arena,” said AIA Assistant Executive Director Chuck Schmidt, “we are pleased to offer our fans additional informative and educational programming when they attend the State Basketball Championships this weekend.”
