PHOENIX WEST READING COUNCIL TO PRESENT THE 11TH ANNUAL RUN FOR LITERACY AT WESTGATE CITY CENTER
GLENDALE, AZ —
The 11th annual Run For Literacy will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Westgate City Center next to Jobing.com Arena, in Glendale, Arizona. Races begin at 7:40 am with a 5K Run and a 5K Walk, followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:15. The Kids 50 Yard Dash begins at 8:30.
Proceeds from the Run For Literacy will go directly toward $200 grants for teachers to purchase literacy materials for their classrooms.
Registration is $12 for ages 12 & under and 60 & over; Adults are $15 if postmarked by April 14, $18 April 15 thru April 21; $20 Race Day. Online registration is available at www.arizonarunningeventsco.com. Registration forms are also available at Westgate City Center businesses.
All entrants receive a race T-shirt, post race refreshments, a goodie bag and, at the completion of their race, a book of their choice. Other race day festivities include a free massage for race participants, vendors, a raffle and a silent auction.
