    The GlidesFountain Park, 6:30-9:30pm

    Original Alternative Rock Band
The Glides perform a brand of music that can best be described as alternative, retro, groove. The Phoenix, Arizona band consists of vocalist Travis Kenny, guitarist Mark Harrison, bass guitarist Paul Perron, and drummer Rikki “Stixx” Rodinis. Whether it’s playing shows, in five cities, in five nights; or zipping up to the high country of Flagstaff to play into the wee hours of the night, these four Renaissance men are always on the move.

The Glides not only know where they are going, but have a rock solid history that put them here today. With two feet solidly in indie rock, the band seamlessly juggles elements of dancehall, blues, punk, grunge, and a taste of retro 50’s rock to create their alternative, retro, grooves.

The Phoenician Four JazztetFountain Park, 6:30-9:30pm

    High Energy Jazz Band
The Phoenician Four Jazztet was created for a last minute show under the name “The Last Minute Trio” with only three members: Joshua Enns (drums), Tony Salce (saxophone), and Scott Harris (bass). After playing the show, we collectively decided that we enjoyed it so much that we would continue playing jazz with each other as a trio.

We soon decided to fill out our sound and brought in a fourth member, Kristen Turner to play cello. We initially thought the cello would be an experimental instrument for the jazz band, but soon after decided to have Kristen play guitar and piano, which better fit the genre. The Phoenician Four was born. We continue to learn new jazz standards as well as writing and arranging our own material.
